The shores of the historical and dynamic city of Auckland slowly disappear from view. Cruise a little further north until Waiheke Island appears on the horizon. Succumb to the charms of its green lands, its heavenly beaches, and its vineyards and olive groves stretching as far as the eye can see. Further north, the Bay of Islands is a historical treasure just begging to be discovered. It was here that in 1840 the Treaty of Waitangi, New Zealand’s founding document, was signed between representatives of the British Crown and a number of Maori chiefs from the northern part of the North Island.
Le Jacques-Cartier will now make its way northward and call at Australia’s Norfolk Island, used in the 19th century as a British penal colony for the most dangerous prisoners. The ruins from the convict era are now on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. There, you will also discover lush vegetation lining the magnificent Emily Bay Lagoon, where Norfolk pines, an endemic species and the symbol of the island, are grown.
As you cruise along the warm ocean waters, you will continue to experience a sense of wonder at the vastness before you and New Caledonia will begin to appear on the horizon. The capital of the archipelago, Noumea, awaits you with its verdant peaks for an exceptional experience. In the heart of the city, you will be able to wander along the Place des Cocotiers, where the locals love to meet up, and you will discover all the secrets of the Kanak culture at the Tjibaou Cultural Centre. You will then be awestruck by the stunning Loyalty Islands, Maré and Lifou, their picture-postcard landscapes and their Kanak heritage, during a traditional ceremony and tasting of local products.
Amédée Islet, a small and idyllic island lying just off the coast of Noumea, is known for its heavenly beaches, its marine reserve, and its emblematic, eponymous lighthouse, which is the tallest metal lighthouse in the world and stands guard over the entrance to the harbour of the New Caledonian capital.
Next, your ship will set a course northward to reach Cairns, where this unforgettable journey will draw to an end.

Auckland is New Zealand’s largest, most populated and busiest city. Located on an isthmus linking the peninsula of Northland to the expansive North Island, it seems to float between land and sea. It is one of the few cities in the world to have two separate harbours : Manukau Harbour on the Tasman Sea and Waitemata Harbour on the Pacific Ocean. You will understand why Auckland is known as "the City of Sails" when you see the forest of masts in the marina. The 328 metre-high Sky Tower offers splendid views of the city. You’ll land around 100km east of Grande-Terre. An ancient coral atoll atop a collapsed volcano, Lifou is today the largest and highest of the Loyalty Islands. This is an outstanding natural site, waiting to be explored: to the north, the coastline ends abruptly in sheer cliffs, while to the south lie expanses of long white sand beaches. Lovers of wild plantlife may well be tempted by a walk further inland, where the rich and authentic Kanak culture is proudly upheld by the local community.

Secluded and wild, Maré Island, located in New Caledonia, is the southernmost of the Loyalty Islands group. You will see unusual cut-out reliefs sculpted by time: here, old coral reefs transformed into impressive cliffs plunge into the ocean; there, the turquoise waters of peaceful lagoons lap on white sand beaches, rimmed with coconut palms and Cook pines. Inland, a central plateau shelters numerous caves and water “holes”. Maré Island is also known as “ the market garden of New Caledonia”. Don’t forget to eat the island’s succulent avocados.

Standing on a paradisiacal strip of land off the coast of Noumea, the56-metre high Amédée lighthouse looks over the entrance to the harbour of the New Caledonian capital. This historical treasure was built in Paris in 1859, before being dismantled, packaged up and boxed into 1265 parcels, and then shipped by boat to its island in the Pacific. It is one of the tallest lighthouses in the world, now planted in the biggest lagoon in the world. You can visit it if you’re willing to climb its 247 steps. This is the price to pay to be able to feast your eyes on a simply stunning panorama of the barrier reef and its incredible natural marine reserve.

Well-preserved and steeped in culture, Nouméa, the pearl of New Caledonia, has enchanting paradisal landscapes and an astonishing past. Nicknamed the "Paris of the Pacific", Nouméa has a unique atmosphere where time seems to stand still, though it is imbued with Oceanic influences.
During this unforgettable excursion, you wander through the streets, taking in superb panoramic views of the city before discovering one of the Caledonian capital's historic jewels: the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Built in 1874, it is the oldest church in New Caledonia. As you explore it, you can admire the resplendent stained-glass windows depicting the miracles at Lourdes.
You then head for the Ouen Toro hill for a magical interlude. From this legendary vantage point, you can see the bay of Nouméa against a backdrop of tropical islands surrounded by the turquoise Pacific: an underwater environment with a unique biodiversity. You will get a chance to discover more about this marine life, including prehistoric nautiluses and fluorescent corals, when you visit the Nouméa Aquarium.

Enjoy a day trip to the little island of Amédée. Bordered by white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters, this little paradise is a tropical marine reserve.
Once you have docked on the island, you take a trip in a glass-bottomed boat with volunteers from the aquarium to observe the underwater wildlife. Then, after a cocktail, you can enjoy an exotic buffet lunch and a dance show. At the post office, you can send a few postcards from this part of the world.

Day 2 - Auckland
Auckland is set on 52 dormant volcanic cones and between two harbours, the sparkling Waitemata and the brooding Manukau. Known as the City of Sails, it is New Zealand’s largest and busiest city.
You will enjoy a sightseeing tour of Auckland starting with the Tamaki Drive coastal road that runs along the Sir Michael Savage Memorial Park. You will hear the History of one of New Zealand's most notable Prime Ministers, and you will enjoy the views over the harbour to Rangitoto Island.
After a short free time in Parnell Village to do some shopping, you will pass by the Trinity Cathedral and onto the Domain, a 75-hectare park that is home to the War Memorial Museum and beautiful winter gardens. You will have a guided tour of this museum, which has one of the best collections of Maori and Polynesian artefacts in the country, and you will watch a Maori cultural performance.
Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.
You will then head to the Sky Tower of Auckland to enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the city. The Sky Tower is a 328-metre tall telecommunications and observation tower, and it has become one of the New Zealand's most recognisable landmarks.
You will be transferred to the pier to embark on board your ship.

Queenstown is a sophisticated holiday resort set in the magnificent landscapes of the Southern Alps of New Zealand.
Settled as a gold mining camp in the 1860s, Queenstown now has a compact and sophisticated downtown area tucked into a picturesque bay on the shores of Lake Wakatipu. It is dwarfed by the surrounding mountains, which means amazing views from everywhere. There is also a permanent buzz in the downtown area, where you will find a lively café and bar scene as well as excellent shopping.
This region has captured hearts and imaginations since the first Maori came here in search of pounamu (greenstone) and the giant Moa bird. Day 2 – Mount Aspiring National Park
After breakfast, you will head to the Mount Aspiring National Park, which is around a 2-hour drive away. Named after Mount Aspiring, one of New Zealand's highest peaks, this park is a dreamland of mountains, glaciers, river valleys and alpine lakes. After an extremely picturesque journey, you will go on a 1-hour walk through valleys and forest to the blue pools, which are deep, crystal clear and flow into the Makarora River. You will enjoy this moment of tranquillity!
After a 90-minute drive, you will take a tour and have lunch in an artisan distillery. You will discover the secrets to artisan spirits and see where the malt is milled, mashed, fermented, distilled, and matured before you embark on a tutored tasting.

Day 3 – Te Anau

After a 2-hour drive, you will experience a mysterious underground world of rushing water before drifting in darkness beneath the luminous shimmer of hundreds of glowworms !
Your trip will begin with a cruise to the western shores of Lake Te Anau. This underground world is astonishingly beautiful. The caves are 12,000 years old and they are still being carved out by the force of the river that flows through them. The result is a twisting network of limestone passages filled with sculpted rock, whirlpools and a roaring underground waterfall.
Deep inside the caves, you will be taken on a small boat into a silent hidden grotto inhabited by thousands of glowworms, unique to New Zealand. In the subterranean darkness, they produce a glittering display that is nothing short of extraordinary.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
After lunch, you will take on a beautiful road trip through the backroads for a quintessential Kiwi experience. Dive into the high country, where you will see fabulous scenery and big landscapes everywhere you look.
You will then see a demonstration of sheep shearing and dog handling at a local and welcoming farm. Sheep farming is a significant industry in New Zealand; it was established by the 1850s and has played an important role in the country’s economy ever since. For several decades, wool accounted for more than a third of New Zealand's exports by value.
After a scrumptious barbecue dinner at the homestead, you will cross the Wakatipu Lake aboard the vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw, the oldest passenger-carrying steamship in the Southern Hemisphere. What a blissful way to appreciate the magnificent alpine scenery!

Day 4 – Arrowtown

After a 30-minute drive, you will stop in Arrowtown, an historic goldmining town, which still looks the way it did over 100 years ago, when Chinese goldminers settled in the area. You will see where they lived and hear about their history. You will also have some free time to do some shopping and explore the area.
You will then be transferred to a local winery for lunch and a wine tasting. Indeed, Central Otago is a region very well known for its spectacular vineyards and premium quality wines.
Back to Queenstown, you will enjoy some free time to do some shopping or just relax.

Auckland is set on 52 dormant volcanic cones and between two harbours, the sparkling Waitemata and the brooding Manukau. Known as the City of Sails, it is New Zealand’s largest and busiest city. You will take the Tamaki Drive coastal road that runs along the Sir Michael Savage Memorial Park, you will go through Cornwall Park, the Domain past the Auckland War Memorial Museum.

It is unique, as it extends over 14 degrees of latitude, from shallow estuarine areas to deep oceanic waters.
After about an hour of transfer, you will discover the newest and most technologically advanced pontoon on the Great Barrier Reef: you will explore the magnificent coral reefs as you enjoy a glass bottom boat trip and a snorkeling guided tour.

The Daintree Rainforest boasts an incredibly biodiverse landscape with a large concentration of animal and plant species that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. It is also one of the oldest rainforests on the planet.
You will discover Mossman Gorge, the traditional home of the Kuku Yalanji aboriginal people.
You will join an indigenous guide for a Ngaduku dreamtime walk into the rainforest, learning about age-old traditions as well as flora and fauna along the way. Participate in a smoking ceremony, said to ward off bad spirits, and learn about the uses of different plants during the trek.
You will then enjoy some free time at Mossman Gorge and a lunch in a local café.
After lunch, you will enjoy a guided tour of Wildlife Habitat, an advanced eco-certified wildlife sanctuary where you will have the opportunity to interact with native Australian animals in their recreated natural environments. Day 1 - Cairns
After disembarkation procedures are completed, you will be greeted at the port by our local representative.
Depart for an Australian experience into the rainforest. After a 30-minute drive, you will arrive at the Skyrail Rainforest Cable Car Station. Upon arrival, you will board one of the gondolas for an amazing experience over Australia's World Heritage listed tropical rainforest canopy, and into the rainforest itself. Spanning approximately four-and-a-half miles over pristine rainforest, Skyrail allows you to explore the wonders of this ancient tropical rainforest and learn about one of the most botanically fascinating and diverse areas on earth, and includes time at two mid-stations. The easy access walkways at Barron Falls Station take you on three separate lookouts where you will be treated to breath-taking views of Barron Gorge and Barron Falls. This station is where you will find the state-of-the-art Rainforest Interpretation Centre.
At the completion of your Skyrail journey, you will proceed to the centre of Kuranda, a delightful village nestled in the heart of the rainforest. Established as a railway station in the mid-1800s, when logging and mining were large industries on the Atherton Tablelands, Kuranda became known as a place to stock up on goods and also where one could enjoy some culture and sophistication at one of the local hotels. Today, this colourful township is a haven for markets, cafés, and restaurants. After a brief overview of the town, you will have some free time to further explore on your own. No doubt you will want to take the opportunity to browse the shops for local artwork, crafts, opals or aboriginal souvenirs while you are here.
Following your visit to Kuranda, you will board your coach and will return to Cairns for lunch.
After lunch you will take a short panoramic drive of Cairns passing the Cairns Casino and view the Central Mall and the shops in the bustling downtown area. An informative commentary will provide details about the Navy Patrol Base, shipyards and the Sugar Terminal, beyond which lies the Fishing Base, a lucrative source of revenue for this prosperous region. Continuing on, you will venture through the town of Portsmith and the suburbs of Bungalow and Manunda, both of which feature lovely old Queenslander-style houses.
