Venice the Serenissima has spread remnants of its centuries-long reign along the shores of the Adriatic. On the Balbi's Arch in Rovinj and on the doors of the towns of Zadar or Korcula, the winged lion, symbol of the City of the Doges, still watches over passers-by. From ancient times, Split has kept the Roman Diocletian's Palace and its Cathedral of Saint Domnius while the island of Hvar conserves Stari Grad, founded by the Greeks and considered to be the country’s oldest town.
The Bay of Kotor combines the beauty of spectacular nature with the jewels of the region’s history. Its medieval city will unveil itself in the crook of the cliffs that overhang the jutting sound, creating a labyrinthine sailing route.
The Pearl of the Adriatic, the former maritime republic known as Ragusa, concludes this journey through time, unveiling a new face among the many facets of Dalmatia. Dubrovnik’s slogan is “Freedom is not for sale, not even for all the gold of this world.”

Kid Explorers
During your cruise PONANT offers an activity programme for children aged 4 to 13 years on all our ships, and from 6 to 13 years on board Le Commandant Charcot.
Every day a team of activity leaders organises creative activities (crafts, painting, etc.), fun educational workshops, board games, introduction to meditation sessions and more, as well as activities specific to the cruise itinerary and number of participants.
There are also activities ashore to prolong the experience for your Kid Explorers such as walks and treasure hunts.

Théâtre du Jeu de Paume
Les Théâtres, a hub for live performance in the Aix-Marseille-Arles region, brings together diverse artistic forms through the programming of its four theaters. With the Théâtre du Jeu de Paume, which holds the Young Audience label, it has chosen the company La Famille du 5ème to introduce children to the world of theater and its practice. La Famille du 5ème is the project of a trio of actresses who met in the drama class on the 5th floor of the Darius Milhaud Conservatory in Aix-en-Provence. Since its founding in 2016, the company has operated as a collective where all members take part in creation—from writing to performing. La Famille du 5ème’s artistic offerings span major classical texts (Molière, Shakespeare), fairy tales (Layla and Eurydice), contemporary works (La violence des potiches / Paquita et moi), as well as non-literary forms and objects (A Story Told, Static Tour). Aesthetically, the company uses subversion and original dramatic techniques like photo-novels, performance-lectures, and various forms of puppetry to desanctify theater and break down genre boundaries. Each creation is driven by the same commitment: to craft a close, lively, interactive, even participatory theater.
Maud Fontenoy Foundation
Since 2008, the Maud Fontenoy Foundation has been operating in France and internationally to protect our oceans. We organise educational activities focused on the environment for the younger generation and general public, with support from scientific partners and the French Ministry of National Education. The latter has made us responsible for its Sea Education programme and relaunch of the Sea Classes initiative. Our aim is both ecological and social: to protect the ocean and save people. We start from a strong principle that protecting the environment, particularly the ocean, is a humanitarian issue that affects all mankind, without exception. For us, the oceans are a powerful force, a potential for the future. Every year, 700,000 children benefit from our programmes.

Rovinj is located in Istria, a region bordering Slovenia. This becomes apparent as you walk through its old cobblestoned town. There are many monuments of Venetian influence here. If you study the Balbi arch, you will see the winged lion, symbol of Venice. The bell-tower erected beside Saint Euphemia Cathedral was designed like the bell of Saint Mark in Venice. From the top of the tower, you can scan the entire historical district. To absorb its quaint atmosphere, take a walk in the ochre and sepia-coloured streets leading to bustling squares and terraces shaded by canvas awnings.

The old fortified city of Zadar stands on peninsula in Northern Dalmatia. It has survived since Antiquity, as the ruins of a Roman forum illustrate. Beside these ruins, the architecture of the church of Saint Donat is Byzantine while the bell-tower of the Cathedral of Saint Anastasia is of Italian design. Your walks in the old town will be punctuated by diverse encounters with history. As you reach the shoreline, you’ll be brought back to modern day because this front is animated by two contemporary architectural creations. Maybe you will hear the sound of the “Sea Organ” music played by the surf and the “ Sun Salutations ” solar light installation reflecting its luminous rays.

Located south of Sibenik, Primosten is a picturesque village on the Dalmatian Coast, whose charm is distilled, via its narrow streets, through pretty stone houses and an architectural heritage influenced by the Venetian Republic. Built on a rocky peninsula, the historic city was connected to land by a mobile bridge from which it earned its name in the 16th century: in Croatian, primostiti means “to bridge”. The high point of the village, the Church of St. George watches over the stunning bay enveloped in crystal-clear waters while, to the north of the peninsula, the charming beach of Raduca reveals itself between the skies and the pine forest. Further on, the vines of the renowned babić varietal, protected from erosion by low stone walls, complete this idyllic setting.

On the Dalmatian coast, the town of Split offers cultural visits in a seaside atmosphere. Close to the seafront shaded by palm trees, the historical centre listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, boasts a unique building: the Diocletian’s Palace. Here you will explore its galleries, courtyards with carved columns, as well as a former mausoleum converted into a church, namely Saint Domnius Cathedral. If you get peckish, stop off at a terrace in the Pjaca, the main square in the old town, where you can try a palacinka, a kind of pancake topped with melted cheese.

Off the coast of Split, Hvar will surprise you by its traditions that have not changed since Antiquity. The country’s oldest town, Stari Grad, is here on this Dalmatian Island. The town nestles by a cove on the north-west coast, surrounded by dry stone wall structures on the Stari Grad plains. These have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site because they were built in the time of the Ancient Greeks. From these parcels of land come wines and olive oil manufactured manually. In the upper part of town, it is possible to discover hams and cheeses made by local producers.

This harbour town has a very special location, presiding on a spur on the north-eastern coast of the island of Korçula. The ramparts in its medieval district provide perfect vantage points over the Pelješac peninsula. To get there, you can take the monumental staircase in the Revelin Tower. Another way is to climb the steps in the shade of palm trees from the MorskaVrata (Marine portal). As you make your way through the little streets, you’ll see the bell-tower of Saint Mark’s cathedral rise above you. This landmark will help you locate the house where Marco Polo was born. The island also has some of its own famous wines like the red Plavac and the white Posip.

Situated in one of Montenegro’s most beautiful bays, the medieval city of Kotor is a small town full of charm, truly imbued with the traditions and stories of another time. Built between the 12th and 14th centuries, this village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, has preserved many historical monuments from this epoch. During your stop, be sure to admire the impressive castle that dominates the town, and let yourself fall under the charm of its maze of small streets and intimate squares on which folk festivals featuring magnificent colourful costumes are often organised.

Emblem of the Dalmatian coast, Dubrovnik is magnificently positioned on a rocky spur. History is sovereign here, in this ancient city, now a listed UNESCO World Heritage site. You will perhaps be surprised by the proportions of La Placa, the central drag through the city. The sheer width of it can be explained by the fact that it straddles a former lagoon. The elegant houses along La Placa are built in the legendary travertine stone. At Pile gate, you will be greeted by the statue of the patron saint of Dubrovnik, and you can admire the coastline as you walk along the ramparts. But what’s inside Fort Saint John, adjoining the outer walls? A maritime museum and an aquarium featuring rare fish from the Adriatic.
Porec and its Basilica
Enjoy a guided tour of the old town of Porec to discover the episcopal complex of the Euphrasian Basilica. An experience combining history, architecture and breathtaking views.
Nestling at the heart of Porec town centre, the basilica has grouped together a number of Christian places of worship since the 4th century; it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This architectural marvel blends Romanesque and Byzantine styles. The sparkle of the mosaics in the choir constitutes a real splendour.
After the visit, you will have some free time to discover the town, before heading to Rovinj.

Rovinj & its cathedral
From the pier, follow your guide and start your walking tour of the historical centre of Rovinj. The historical centre is almost entirely built on a rocky island and connected to the mainland since the 13th century. During your tour, you will discover the Venetian influence and its rich cultural legacy, omnipresent in the architecture of the tall houses with warm red tiled roofs and the narrow streets intersected by covered passageways and archways, decorated with ancient frescoes.
The highlight of your visit will most certainly be the Church of Saint Euphemia, a prestigious building dating from the 8th century. Its 63-metre high bell tower rises out of the city centre, and is the most remarked symbol in the Istria region.
Built on the ancient ruins of a Roman church, it was altered in the 17th century in the Baroque style, and houses the relics of Saint Euphemia. They were brought from Constantinople in the 9th century for their safekeeping in a marble sarcophagus. There is also a mural depicting the life and the martyrdom of the saint. Every year on 16 September, the faithful gather around her tomb.
The church contains several treasures and works of art like Gothic statues from the 15th century and paintings from the 16th and the 17th centuries (The Last Supper and Christ in the Gethsemane).
At the end of your visit, you will enjoy a local snack before returning to your ship.

Walking tour and maraschino tasting
Zadar, the jewel of Dalmatia, stands majestically on the shores of the Adriatic, attesting to more than three millennia of history and culture, where the echoes of past civilisations resonate through its paved little streets and its emblematic monuments.
Make the most of your time in the city of Zadar to explore the Roman Forum, the veritable emblem of the city, as well as the Church of St. Donatus and the Cathedral of St. Anastasia, not to mention the monuments and palaces dotted around this history-laden site. This wander around will plunge you into the rich and fascinating history of this beautiful old city. You will also have the opportunity to contemplate the People's Square and, of course, the Sea Organ and the Greeting to the Sun. Then, walk along the coast, enveloped by the unique sounds of the Organ. Finally, taste the famous Maraschino liqueur, obtained from the distillation of Marasca cherries, which stands out as one of Croatia’s most prestigious liqueurs, embodying the pride of North Dalmatia where its production dates back to 1768.

Krka waterfalls & lunch (return Split)
On this tour, discover nature's wonders: the Krka National Park and its famous waterfalls. A natural frontier between northern and central Dalmatia, the Krka River joins the Adriatic Sea at Sibenik.
From the pier, board your coach for a 45-minute scenic drive to Lozovac entrance. Skradinski Buk, the largest waterfall of the national park, located on river banks, houses mills and wash houses. Upon your arrival, you will have the opportunity to discover the ethnological museum.
Located in the park, the museum provides a great deal of knowledge and history explaining how the park became a wildlife sanctuary for many different species of animals and plant life.
You will then discover the old water-mill where cereals are still ground by water-spun grindstones.
After enjoying some free time, you will re-board your coach and continue to the Village of Stankovci.
In the House of Dalmatian prosciutto Roca, you will be able to learn about the production method of Dalmatian prosciutto and taste different products prepared here.
After visiting the house of Dalmatian Prosciutto and having your lunch, you will join your coach and return to your ship harboured at Split, 1 hour 15 minute drive.

Split & the Diocletian Palace
After the short walk (15 minutes) from the port to the Old Town you will start with the walking portion of the tour.
The Old Town of Split is built on and around the spectacular Roman Palace erected by the Roman Emperor Diocletian (born in Salona - todays Solin) in the 4th century. The walking tour starts with a visit of the Palace on the ground gallery that is still very well preserved. It offers a good view at how the life in the Palace was organised.
You will also visit the very interesting Cathedral of St. Duje (patron saint of the city). According to medieval sources, Archbishop John of Ravenna purified in 650 the mausoleum of Diocletian by getting rid of its idols and founded the Cathedral whose bell tower is now the symbol of Split.
The Cathedral is built on the remains of an ancient shrine and is supposed to be the oldest in the world. A visit will also be made to the charming Temple of Jupiter, turned into the baptistery by Christians. Observe the front panel or the ceiling with grotesque faces. Cross the Palace of the southern gate to the North door and discover the ramparts and the immense "statue of Gregory of Nin" by the Croatian sculptor Ivan Mestrovic.
After the walking tour you will head back to the ship. If you wish to spend some time on your own, you can visit the colourful open market (largest on the coast) or spend some time in the town before returning to the ship.

Hvar & its religious heritage
This small and charming town is located around a natural port and it is undoubtedly one of the most famous seaside resorts of Dalmatian coast.
A lot of splendid monuments as the Cathedral, the ancient Arsenal and different palaces are bearing witness to a rich history of Gothic and Renaissance arts.
From the pier, follow your guide through narrow tiny streets to the 15th century Franciscan Monastery. The cloister with its rounded arches and a well in the middle dominates the Renaissance monastery. The former spacious refectory and a small, adjacent room have been turned into the monastery museum. Along with a collection of old books and coins, the famous "Last Supper", a work belonging to the Venetian School of Palma the Younger from the end of the 16th century, has the strongest claims on the attention of the numerous visitors.

The history of Korcula
Perched on a peninsula overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic, Korcula is one of the Mediterranean’s best-preserved cities and offers those who explore its streets a veritable dive into history.
Built to a "fishbone” plan in the 13th century, the Old Town of Korcula seems to want to touch the sky. The cobbled streets, small squares and narrow dwellings all rise towards the azure blue, since they can’t push back the fortifications that surround the city. Amidst this picture-postcard decor sit several emblematic sites that you will have the chance to visit.
Your first visit will be the Bishop’s Palace and its Icon Museum. The museum contains a unique collection of Byzantine Icons dating from the 13th to the 15th century, brought back by sailors, as well as ceremonial pieces from the 17th and 18th centuries.
You will then explore the Cathedral of St Mark. Constructed in the 15th century and erected in the heart of the Old Town - on the former site of a 13th-century church – by local masters, in a style blending Gothic and Renaissance, it is undoubtedly Korcula’s most emblematic moment and, above all, an ode to Croatian expertise in Dalmatian stonework.
Opposite the cathedral, you will discover Gabrielis Palace and its Town Museum. With its collections of archaeological, ethnographic and artistic objects, you will be able to go back in time and discover the various influences on the city over the centuries.
Then admire the huge staircase that leads to Tower Revelin, guardian of the city erected in the 15th century, as well as its large gate, decorated with a sculpture of the lion of St Mark.

Mini tour of Montenegro with lunch
From the pier, board your coach for a 1-hour drive to Njegusi, you will drive through the Lovcen Mountain region, a national park of 6,500 acres (26 km2) which rises to an altitude of 5,400 ft (1,750 metres), providing panoramic views. Upon arrival, you will discover the village, birth place of Petrovic dynasty and especially the one of Petar II Petrovic Njegos, king and great poet who reigned over Montenegrin in the 19th century.
After a 45-minutes drive, you will continue to Cetinje, located in the fields at the base of the Lovcen mountain. The village is a treasure of Montenegrin cultural and historical heritage as it was the ancient capital during King Nicolas 1st reign. This museum town who became city of kings is famous for its monastery and its museum that you will visit, before enjoying a local lunch in a typical restaurant, located in the area.
After your lunch, you will drive to Budva and its old town. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to see most beautiful coasts and their numerous beaches. Budva is rich in historic monuments and churches and represents a treasure chest of culture heritage.
Once arriving, you will start your guided walking visit of the town before enjoying some free time.
Finally, you will reach Kotor after a one-hour drive taking a road with 25-hairpin bends.

Perast & our Lady of the Rock
From the pier, embark your coach for the 25-minute drive to Perast, town with almost the same number of churches as the number of inhabitants.
Enjoy the scenery and architecture of the old historical town of Perast which, between the 13th and 18th centuries, belonged to Venice. The most beautiful buildings were constructed under the period of the Republic of Venice in the 17th and 18th centuries when Perast was at its peak. The Parish Church in Perast was built in 1740 by the Venetian architect, Giuseppe Beati but only the church tower and the church vault remain. You will visit the St. Nicholas Church, patron saint of the sailors.
There are two small islands in the close vicinity of Perast: St. George Island and Our Lady of the Rock Island.
You will reach the man-made islet of Our Lady of the Rocks after a 15-minute boat ride. The stone plateau in the middle of the sea with a church on it is the result of the enduring efforts of generations of sailors. The island was built artificially by scuttling old ships and depositing stones around a small crag. The construction of a sanctuary began in the first century of the Venetian rule. The sanctuary was dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin because this cult was greatly venerated by the Venetians. On the altar is the famous icon of Our Lady of the Rock, a 15th century work by Lovro Marinov Dobricevic. It is the most valuable work of art in the church because its history is so closely related to that of the island, the only artificially built island in the Adriatic. The church itself is decorated with more than 2,500 votive tablets made of silver, mostly donated by seamen.
Finally, you will get back to Kotor, following your guide on a walking tour of the city.

Day 1 -Venice
Meet at Venice Airport in the Arrival hall. Look for PONANT sign. You will be greeted by our local representative off the flight selected by PONANT or any other flight (provided that you have previously communicated your flight schedule to your travel agent).

Day 2 - Venice
After breakfast, you will leave your hotel by boat to explore some of the hidden gardens of the city, learn their history and find out what prompted the locals to create gardens in such a challenging environment. Gardens in Venice come as a surprise: although many of the palaces have their own small, private garden, when wandering around it is easy to get the impression that Venice is a city of stone.
The first stop is Nani Bernardo Palace, opened especially for a private visit. Designed by the architect Vittoria and commissioned the Bernardo family, the palace was built in the mid-16th century with a beautiful Italian garden. On the other side of the Grand Canal, you will then enjoy a private visit of Palazzo Malipiero.
Initially built in a Byzantine style, it has undergone some modifications over the centuries. The adjacent Italian-style garden with a view of the Grand Canal, a rarity in Venice, makes it even more distinctive.
Like many others, this garden was created in the late 18th century, when the large palace gardens situated on the outskirts of the city disappeared because of residential and industrial development.
You will then be transferred by boat to Sant’Erasmo. While this is the largest island in the Venetian lagoon, it is only sparsely populated. For years this has been Venice’s countryside, the agricultural zone which produces the fruit and vegetables consumed by the city-dwellers. Its artichokes are particularly renowned. You will take a walk through the vineyards of the Cantina Orto di Venezia estate, before tasting three vintages of locally produced Orto, a white wine full of this special island’s unique character. This wine is made from ancient Italian grape varieties; the vines are cultivated using traditional and eco-friendly methods. Driven by their passion and tenacity, the Thoulouze family have managed to recreate the ancestral methods of drainage using the natural tides of the lagoon.
Orto is a white wine with a high mineral content and a flavour that reflects its terroir. It can be drunk on any occasion but goes especially well with the products of the Venetian lagoon: fish, artichokes, and asparagus. It was recently named the best Italian Malvasia vintage.
After the visit, you will take a boat ride to Mazzorbo, a rural island connected to Burano by a wooden pedestrian bridge. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you will return to Venice where you will learn the art of mask making.
Venetian masks have been worn in Venice since ancient times. They have a long history of protecting their wearer’s identity during promiscuous or decadent activities, such as gambling in one of the many casinos that dotted the city. The art of mask making is one of Venice’s oldest handicrafts. Guided by the desire to keep this traditional art form alive, a famous Venetian mask-making workshop will welcome you for a course in mask decoration including theory and practice. Once you have selected the type of mask you wish to decorate, you will choose among the different decorating techniques available and combine them to make your own one-of-a-kind Venetian mask.
The experts on hand will explain the ancient technique of making a Venetian papier-mâché mask, providing important historical information on the use of masks in Venice over past centuries, together with an explanation of the most significant models. At the end of the course, you will get to keep the mask you decorated, as a memento of this unforgettable experience.
You will return to your hotel by boat, to enjoy the rest of the day and evening at your leisure.
Day 3 - Venice
Breakfast at your hotel, morning at leisure and check-out.
You will then visit a tavern to enjoy a cooking lesson and learn the secrets of Venetian cuisine. With the chef’s guidance and supervision, you will create typical local dishes as you learn more about the culture and cuisine of the region. At the end of the lesson, you will eat what you prepared and toast to this memorable experience.
You will then be transferred by boat to the pier of Venice to embark on board your ship.

Rovinj & its cathedral
From the pier, follow your guide and start your walking tour of the historical centre of Rovinj. The historical centre is almost entirely built on a rocky island and connected to the mainland since the 13th century. During your tour, you will discover the Venetian influence and its rich cultural legacy, omnipresent in the architecture of the tall houses with warm red tiled roofs and the narrow streets intersected by covered passageways and archways, decorated with ancient frescoes.
The highlight of your visit will most certainly be the Church of Saint Euphemia, a prestigious building dating from the 8th century. Its 63-metre high bell tower rises out of the city centre, and is the most remarked symbol in the Istria region.
Built on the ancient ruins of a Roman church, it was altered in the 17th century in the Baroque style, and houses the relics of Saint Euphemia. They were brought from Constantinople in the 9th century for their safekeeping in a marble sarcophagus. There is also a mural depicting the life and the martyrdom of the saint. Every year on 16 September, the faithful gather around her tomb.
The church contains several treasures and works of art like Gothic statues from the 15th century and paintings from the 16th and the 17th centuries (The Last Supper and Christ in the Gethsemane).
At the end of your visit, you will enjoy a local snack before returning to your ship.

Walking tour and maraschino tasting
Zadar, the jewel of Dalmatia, stands majestically on the shores of the Adriatic, attesting to more than three millennia of history and culture, where the echoes of past civilisations resonate through its paved little streets and its emblematic monuments.
Make the most of your time in the city of Zadar to explore the Roman Forum, the veritable emblem of the city, as well as the Church of St. Donatus and the Cathedral of St. Anastasia, not to mention the monuments and palaces dotted around this history-laden site. This wander around will plunge you into the rich and fascinating history of this beautiful old city. You will also have the opportunity to contemplate the People's Square and, of course, the Sea Organ and the Greeting to the Sun. Then, walk along the coast, enveloped by the unique sounds of the Organ. Finally, taste the famous Maraschino liqueur, obtained from the distillation of Marasca cherries, which stands out as one of Croatia’s most prestigious liqueurs, embodying the pride of North Dalmatia where its production dates back to 1768.

Split & the Diocletian Palace
After the short walk (15 minutes) from the port to the Old Town you will start with the walking portion of the tour.
The Old Town of Split is built on and around the spectacular Roman Palace erected by the Roman Emperor Diocletian (born in Salona - todays Solin) in the 4th century. The walking tour starts with a visit of the Palace on the ground gallery that is still very well preserved. It offers a good view at how the life in the Palace was organised.
You will also visit the very interesting Cathedral of St. Duje (patron saint of the city). According to medieval sources, Archbishop John of Ravenna purified in 650 the mausoleum of Diocletian by getting rid of its idols and founded the Cathedral whose bell tower is now the symbol of Split.
The Cathedral is built on the remains of an ancient shrine and is supposed to be the oldest in the world. A visit will also be made to the charming Temple of Jupiter, turned into the baptistery by Christians. Observe the front panel or the ceiling with grotesque faces. Cross the Palace of the southern gate to the North door and discover the ramparts and the immense "statue of Gregory of Nin" by the Croatian sculptor Ivan Mestrovic.
After the walking tour you will head back to the ship. If you wish to spend some time on your own, you can visit the colourful open market (largest on the coast) or spend some time in the town before returning to the ship.

Krka waterfalls & lunch (return Split)
On this tour, discover nature's wonders: the Krka National Park and its famous waterfalls. A natural frontier between northern and central Dalmatia, the Krka River joins the Adriatic Sea at Sibenik.
From the pier, board your coach for a 45-minute scenic drive to Lozovac entrance. Skradinski Buk, the largest waterfall of the national park, located on river banks, houses mills and wash houses. Upon your arrival, you will have the opportunity to discover the ethnological museum.
Located in the park, the museum provides a great deal of knowledge and history explaining how the park became a wildlife sanctuary for many different species of animals and plant life.
You will then discover the old water-mill where cereals are still ground by water-spun grindstones.
After enjoying some free time, you will re-board your coach and continue to the Village of Stankovci.
In the House of Dalmatian prosciutto Roca, you will be able to learn about the production method of Dalmatian prosciutto and taste different products prepared here.
After visiting the house of Dalmatian Prosciutto and having your lunch, you will join your coach and return to your ship harboured at Split, 1 hour 15 minute drive.

This small and charming town is located around a natural port and it is undoubtedly one of the most famous seaside resorts of Dalmatian coast.
A lot of splendid monuments as the Cathedral, the ancient Arsenal and different palaces are bearing witness to a rich history of Gothic and Renaissance arts.
From the pier, follow your guide through narrow tiny streets to the 15th century Franciscan Monastery. The cloister with its rounded arches and a well in the middle dominates the Renaissance monastery. The former spacious refectory and a small, adjacent room have been turned into the monastery museum. Along with a collection of old books and coins, the famous "Last Supper", a work belonging to the Venetian School of Palma the Younger from the end of the 16th century, has the strongest claims on the attention of the numerous visitors.

The history of Korcula
Perched on a peninsula overlooking the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic, Korcula is one of the Mediterranean’s best-preserved cities and offers those who explore its streets a veritable dive into history.
Built to a "fishbone” plan in the 13th century, the Old Town of Korcula seems to want to touch the sky. The cobbled streets, small squares and narrow dwellings all rise towards the azure blue, since they can’t push back the fortifications that surround the city. Amidst this picture-postcard decor sit several emblematic sites that you will have the chance to visit.
Your first visit will be the Bishop’s Palace and its Icon Museum. The museum contains a unique collection of Byzantine Icons dating from the 13th to the 15th century, brought back by sailors, as well as ceremonial pieces from the 17th and 18th centuries.
You will then explore the Cathedral of St Mark. Constructed in the 15th century and erected in the heart of the Old Town - on the former site of a 13th-century church – by local masters, in a style blending Gothic and Renaissance, it is undoubtedly Korcula’s most emblematic moment and, above all, an ode to Croatian expertise in Dalmatian stonework.
Opposite the cathedral, you will discover Gabrielis Palace and its Town Museum. With its collections of archaeological, ethnographic and artistic objects, you will be able to go back in time and discover the various influences on the city over the centuries.
Then admire the huge staircase that leads to Tower Revelin, guardian of the city erected in the 15th century, as well as its large gate, decorated with a sculpture of the lion of St Mark.
· This excursion involves approximately 1.6 km (1 mile) of walking through narrow streets, with some steps. We recommend you wear comfortable walking shoes and protect yourself from the sun. The order of the visits may be reversed.

Mini tour of Montenegro with lunch
From the pier, board your coach for a 1-hour drive to Njegusi, you will drive through the Lovcen Mountain region, a national park of 6,500 acres (26 km2) which rises to an altitude of 5,400 ft (1,750 metres), providing panoramic views. Upon arrival, you will discover the village, birth place of Petrovic dynasty and especially the one of Petar II Petrovic Njegos, king and great poet who reigned over Montenegrin in the 19th century.
After a 45-minutes drive, you will continue to Cetinje, located in the fields at the base of the Lovcen mountain. The village is a treasure of Montenegrin cultural and historical heritage as it was the ancient capital during King Nicolas 1st reign. This museum town who became city of kings is famous for its monastery and its museum that you will visit, before enjoying a local lunch in a typical restaurant, located in the area.
After your lunch, you will drive to Budva and its old town. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to see most beautiful coasts and their numerous beaches. Budva is rich in historic monuments and churches and represents a treasure chest of culture heritage.
Once arriving, you will start your guided walking visit of the town before enjoying some free time.
Finally, you will reach Kotor after a one-hour drive taking a road with 25-hairpin bends.

This tour involves approximately 1 mile (1,5 km) of walking over cobble stone streets with some steps. The road is very windy with several hairpin bends. This tour is not recommended for guests suffering from motion sickness. Proper attire is required (knees and shoulders covered). The lunch is included on your tour and is accompanied with one glass of wine, water and coffee. The visits are only outside visits at Budva and Njegusi.

Perast & our Lady of the Rock
From the pier, embark your coach for the 25-minute drive to Perast, town with almost the same number of churches as the number of inhabitants.
Enjoy the scenery and architecture of the old historical town of Perast which, between the 13th and 18th centuries, belonged to Venice. The most beautiful buildings were constructed under the period of the Republic of Venice in the 17th and 18th centuries when Perast was at its peak. The Parish Church in Perast was built in 1740 by the Venetian architect, Giuseppe Beati but only the church tower and the church vault remain. You will visit the St. Nicholas Church, patron saint of the sailors.
There are two small islands in the close vicinity of Perast: St. George Island and Our Lady of the Rock Island.
You will reach the man-made islet of Our Lady of the Rocks after a 15-minute boat ride. The stone plateau in the middle of the sea with a church on it is the result of the enduring efforts of generations of sailors. The island was built artificially by scuttling old ships and depositing stones around a small crag. The construction of a sanctuary began in the first century of the Venetian rule. The sanctuary was dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin because this cult was greatly venerated by the Venetians. On the altar is the famous icon of Our Lady of the Rock, a 15th century work by Lovro Marinov Dobricevic. It is the most valuable work of art in the church because its history is so closely related to that of the island, the only artificially built island in the Adriatic. The church itself is decorated with more than 2,500 votive tablets made of silver, mostly donated by seamen.
Finally, you will get back to Kotor, following your guide on a walking tour of the city.

Day 1 - Dubrovnik
Once you have completed your disembarkation formalities, our local representative will welcome you on the quayside. You will then be transferred to the Peljesac peninsula, approximately an hour away from Dubrovnik.
The Pelješac wineries are reputed the world over for producing some of the best wines and for representing Croatia’s unique terroir and wine cultures abroad.
You will visit the Grgic Vina and Matusko Vina wineries, two family businesses run by passionate winemakers who place their experience and tradition at the heart of their products. Your morning programme will continue with the discovery of Edivo Vina, the only producer of wine aged in amphoras under the sea. These bottles and amphoras of Navis Mysterium (the mystery of the sea) are stored at a depth of 14 metres (46 feet) in a wreck, near the coast of Drace.
You will be transferred to your hotel Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik.
