Come aboard Le Bellot for an unforgettable voyage.
In the midst of the Mexican winter, set off on an all-new journey in Baja California, a wild land where the sea and the sky come together in an endless dazzle. As you sail over crystal-clear waves, you will be captivated by magical encounters: grey whales — preserving their ancient migratory cycle, the longest of all mammals, to give birth in these shallow lagoons — playful bottlenose dolphins, orcas, blue whales, colourful fish and majestic devil rays.
Explore these isolated coves and immaculate beaches, discover towns rich in history and set off to encounter the locals of Cabo Pulmo. With the help of scientists and local NGOs, these people have abandoned fishing, which was once their main activity, to embrace eco-tourism and transform the region into a model of marine conservation.

Mexico city : a true cultural treasure (3 nights)

Take advantage of four days to discover Mexico City, where history comes alive through its architecture and traditions. This programme will be a pleasant prelude to your embarkation.
Day 1 – Mexico City
Meet at Mexico City Airport in the Arrival hall. Look for PONANT sign. You will be greeted by our local representative off the flight selected by PONANT or any other flight (provided that you have previously communicated your flight schedule to your travel agent).
You will be transferred to your hotel.
Dinner at leisure.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 – Mexico City
After breakfast, you will depart for a visit of Mexico City’s famous landmarks.
You will start your journey by discovering the historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage site, filled with colonial buildings and vibrant markets. The Zócalo, or Plaza Mayor, is the main square, surrounded by the imposing Metropolitan Cathedral and the National Palace.
You will visit the Palace of Fine Arts, a masterpiece housing the finest works of Mexican art and culture. This neoclassical building is also home to the National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico. The Palacio de Bellas Artes has received recognition and awards in a variety of fields. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987.
Lunch in a local restaurant.
You will then visit the National Museum of Anthropology and explore the roots of a nation. With its vast collection of pre-Hispanic artifacts and a dedicated section for Mexico’s ancient civilizations, this museum will immerse you in the history of the country’s most significant cultures.
Way back to your hotel, dinner at leisure.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 – Teotihuacan
Breakfast at the hotel or on the way (depending on departure time).
Venture outside of Mexico City to explore the ancient Teotihuacan Pyramids, one of the most impressive archaeological sites in the Americas. This UNESCO World Heritage site, about 50 km — 31 miles — from Mexico City, was once a thriving metropolis that dates back to around 100 BC. The massive Pyramid of the Sun and Pyramid of the Moon dominate the skyline, connected by the Avenue of the Dead, a grand ceremonial road. Teotihuacan was a centre of culture and trade in pre-Columbian Mexico, and exploring its plazas, temples, and murals offers a glimpse into the life of this ancient civilization.
Lunch in a local restaurant.
Once back in Mexico City, discover Coyoacán, known as the “cultural heart of Mexico” and one of city’s oldest and most culturally rich neighbourhoods. It retains a neo-colonial charm that has attracted several generations of Mexican and foreign intellectuals, including such iconic figures as Octavio Paz, Salvador Novo, Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo and Leon Trotsky.
Way back to your hotel, dinner at leisure.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 - Riviera Maya / Tulum
Breakfast at the hotel.
You will visit the archaeological site of Tulum. Founded around 900 A.D., when the major Mayan sites had already been abandoned, Tulum reached its peak between 1200 and 1400 A.D. It was undoubtedly a major port to which merchants from all over Mexico flocked, which explains the heterogeneous nature of its architecture. Marvel at the beauty of this site, built in an exceptional natural setting on the edge of the turquoise Mexican Caribbean Sea and on a rocky promontory that sets off the buildings particularly well.
You will then head off to a local Cenote to swim in crystal-clear waters and immerse yourself in nature.
Lunch will be served in a local restaurant, then you will be transferred to your hotel.
