A graduate of the École du Louvre and a former student at the Sorbonne’s Institute of Art, Olivier Mignon holds a master’s degree in medieval history. The author of more than twenty books devoted to the history of architecture, particularly on Mont-Saint-Michel, the Palace of Versailles, Gothic cathedrals, Renaissance castles, Carcassonne, and Santiago de Compostela, he currently works as a lecturer in France and during trips abroad. He regularly takes part in numerous cultural and expedition cruises around the world, during which he enthusiastically presents ports of call, archaeological sites, cities, and countries, as well as topics related to history, maritime adventures, and the great explorers.
