Miriam Albano

Miriam Albano is an Italian soprano with a remarkable vocal range, able to seamlessly transition between soprano and mezzo roles. Born in Venice, she studied at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory and furthered her training at the University of Music in Vienna, refining her technique under renowned artists such as Brigitte Fassbaender and Malcom Martineau. Her vocal talent has earned her international recognition, with victories in prestigious competitions such as Neue Stimmen (Germany, 2015) and Francisco Viñas (Spain, 2016). She was also a finalist in the Cardiff Singer of the World competition (2017). A skilled violinist, Miriam’s versatile artistry extends beyond opera. From 2016 to 2019, she was a soloist at the Vienna State Opera, debuting roles like Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro and Annio in La Clemenza di Tito. She performed at major festivals and opera houses, including the Salzburg Festival,Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Gran Teatre del Liceu and Teatro La Fenice. Miriam has also showcased her talent in concert performances across Europe, including the Tonhalle in Zurich, the Berlin Philharmonie, and the Festival Internacional de Santander. She has worked with esteemed conductors such as Marc Minkowski, Ádám Fischer, Ottavio Dantone and directors like Robert Carsen. Her recent roles include Iphigénie in Iphigénie en Aulide by Gluck and Isabella in L’Inganno felice by Rossini. Upcoming performances include Despina in Così fan tutte at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, Aminta in Il re pastore at the Teatro dell’ Opera di Roma and Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro at the Beijing National Centre for the Performing Arts.
