Arthur Hinnewinkel

Born in the US in 2000, Arthur Hinnewinkel entered the Conservatoire national supérieur de Paris at age 15 in the piano class of Hortense Cartier-Bresson and Fernando Rossano. He is currently continuing his training at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Belgium under Frank Braley and Avedis Kouyoumdjian. He has appeared at many French festivals as a soloist and chamber musician, including at the Festival de La Roque d’Anthéron, Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, Rencontres Musicales d’Evian, Festival de Pâques - Août Musical in Deauville, Festival de Wissembourg, Festival Chopin in Paris and Festival Musique à La Prée, and on the radio for Génération France Musique. In 2023 he was a finalist in the Clara Haskil Competition and the winner of the Modern Times Special Prize. In February 2024 he won the Thierry Scherz and André Hoffman prizes at the Sommets Musicaux de Gstaad, leading to a Schumann recording with the Sinfonia Varsovia. He is also the 2024 winner of the Banque Populaire Foundation prize and is an Artiste Résident at the Fondation Singer-Polignac.
