Anne-Claire Lefèvre

This « Normandy girl » has undoubtedly traced her Viking roots : Anne-Claire lived nearly ten years in Reykjavík, where she is a professional guide. On foot, by kayak, bus, or boat leading groups, or as a documentary scriptwriter, she explores Arctic countries (Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Scandinavia) and the British Isles (Shetlands, Orkneys, Hebrides, Isle of Man, Ireland) to share her love for Inuit, Viking, and Celtic lands.
Trained in the field in glaciology, volcanology, botany, mammalogy, and ornithology, she knows how to share her enthusiasm and knowledge about these regions of the world—as a public speaker—and also to echo the brutal climate change in polar and subpolar environments that she has already witnessed through her job and daily life.
However, while Anne-Claire has been a local guide on Ponant cruises to Iceland since 2017, since 2022 she has expanded her horizons as an expedition guide across the rest of the boreal and hyperboreal territories, in Antarctica, and on various tropical destinations (Caribbean, Indian Ocean, and Pacific), where she can express her passion for marine turtle conservation and the ocean in general.
Her experience extends particularly to Central America (Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Belize) and the Caribbean islands (Bahamas, Cuba, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago).
