The travel book is evolving!
To pursue our commitment to more sustainable tourism, we are lightening the environmental impact of the travel books sent to our passengers before each trip with PONANT: we will no longer be printing and mailing these out.
This change will only apply to travel books for departures on board the PONANT Explorers and PONANT Sisterships.
In concrete terms, what does this mean?
- The travel book will be 100% digital
- We have stopped printing and producing both the travel books, and the pouches that accompanied them
- If your clients prefer to have a tangible paper version, our digital format has been designed for easy printing*
When will you receive your clients’ booklet?
It will be sent to you by email approximately one month prior to departure.
All you have to do is forward it to your clients, removing the first few sentences addressed to you.
This email will contain:
- The PDF file of the travel book as an attachment
- The formalities passengers need to know about their trip and destination(s)
We recommend saving this PDF on their mobile phone or tablet so that it is always accessible, even without an Internet connection.
What's in this new digital-only format?
All the information your clients need for their trip, in one single personalised document:
- The itinerary and full travel programme (equivalent to the cruise ticket)
- Information on the cruise enrichment: the theme, guests, and partner (if applicable)
- A map of the ship and their stateroom, with details of onboard services available
- Details of activities and extensions during the cruise, as well as any pre/post programmes booked by the passengers
- Advice on what to wear and what to expect on board (available soon)
- The digital flight tickets (if applicable)
- A pre-filled health declaration form*
They can also easily find information on their cruise on our website and the PONANT app, which is easy to download, on your mobile phone.
