André Ramos was born a fado singer, almost without knowing it. He inherited a love for fado from his closest family and, from a very young age, began playing the Portuguese guitar and singing, shaping his talent into a passion that has accompanied him since childhood. With refined technique and profound respect for tradition, he quickly became one of the most sought-after guitarists of his generation. His talent and dedication earned him a place as one of the regular faces at the historic and iconic Mesa de Frades, a landmark venue for preserving and celebrating fado.
Currently, he accompanies renowned fado singers Kátia Guerreiro and Teresinha Landeiro, but his career includes collaborations with some of the greatest figures in fado history, such as Carminho, Cuca Roseta, Hélder Moutinho, and Ricardo Ribeiro. In addition to live performances, André Ramos has made his mark on numerous recordings, contributing to the fado legacy with his mastery of the guitar and interpretive sensitivity. With a career in constant growth, he continues to captivate audiences in Portugal and beyond, reaffirming himself as an essential figure in the contemporary fado scene.
